Walk East for Discovery
When dashing about by car, bus or tube, it's easy to miss interesting landmarks and green spaces on the doorstep. On a Walk East programme, you slow down and take a closer look at what's around. It's a chance to rediscover the neighbourhood and its stories, as you explore the local street scenes, parks and waterways.
Walk East projects are designed to help your group:
- Explore the local heritage – we'll spark your curiosity, share stories behind local landmarks and uncover hidden secrets.
- Re-connect with nature – we'll make the most of the local parks, gardens, rivers, canals and docks, and encounter plants and wildlife along the way.
- Record and share your discoveries – we can create route maps, photo-books, videos and treasure trails with you, to encourage others to explore the area.
Get in touch, if you'd like a creative, tailor-made walk programme to help your community group, school or work colleagues really discover the local area.
